The Association

The Harris County Fair and Rodeo Association is a charitable non-profit organization with an approved Section 501(c)(3) classification Founded in August 2020. Our goal is to conduct and support the Harris County Fair and Rodeo by operating a future Harris County Fairgrounds established near Cypress, Texas. The future home will be a year round facility geared to host events for the community including Bar-B-Q Cook Offs, outdoor festivals, and more. These events will serve to support the annual Harris County Fair and Rodeo and the youth of Harris County.

Blazing the Trail

The FAIR

The first year (2021), the fair will be a starter year and will grow on after for years to come. The first year the fair will include a livestock show, creative arts and horticulture show, agricultural mechanics show and set of family fun events for the community. The first few years the fair will not include... a livestock auction, rodeo or carnival. When we feel the community support has built up strong enough to host a successful auction, we will convert to a terminal show with a Live Auction.

LIVESTOCK

The few years, the livestock show will be an optional non-terminal premium youth livestock show including Junior Market Steers, Swine, Goats, Sheep, Rabbits, Broilers, Turkeys and Youth Breeding Rabbits and Heifers. Sponsors will be able to sponsor the Premiums for the Grand and Reserve champions and division winners for the youth market animals. There will be an Add-on Table for exhibitor family, friends and supports to contribute to the exhibitors. The exhibitors will also be able to place their animals in the freezer table which is open to the public to purchase animals to further support the exhibitors. The Add-on and Freezer tables will be open through out the entire fair.

In future years, the Creative Arts and Horticulture show will open up to different age groups within the public.
